BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY - The Parkway follows the Appalachian Mountain Chain & provides seemingly endless views of many parallel ranges connected by cross ranges & scattered hills. From the Shenandoah National Park the Parkway follows the Blue Ridge, Eastern rampart of the Appalachians, for 355 miles. Then, for the remaining 114 miles, it skirts the Southern end of the massive Black Mountains and Pisgah Range.

GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK is a hiker's paradise with over 800 miles of maintained trails. Most visitors come to the Smokies hoping to see a bear. Some 1,500 bears live in the park. From the big animals like bears, deer, and elk, down to microscopic organisms, the Smokies have the most biological diversity of any area in the world's temperate zone. The park is a sanctuary for a magnificent array of animal and plant life, all of which is protected for future generations to enjoy. Did you know that between 8-10 million people visit the Smokies every year, making it the most visited National Park in our country.

BILTMORE/ASHEVILLE AREA - Home of the famous Biltmore Estate, Asheville is only 28 miles from your new home. Asheville offers most of the amenities of big city life with the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Asheville's culinary scene is hip and diverse so it's just as easy to find Asian as it is to find Vegetarian specialties and everything in between. Historic Biltmore Village offers specialty shops for those one of a kind finds. You will find most large retail chain stores throughout the city, 2 shopping malls, and an abundance of art galleries in downtown Asheville.
